Consider that the rectangle on the left represents a bottle containing water. On the right, the ellipse represents the sun or the moon. The equal sign represents the rays from the sun or moon, impinging on the bottle. Interpreted in this way, the symbols represent the fact that the rays of sun and moon not only support and sustain life on earth, but are the ultimate source of essences as well.

Interpreted in this way, the symbols remind us that essences do not exist separate from nature, but are part of nature. It reminds us to look at sun, moon and stars. It suggests to us that the cycles of sun, moon and stars will be of considerable importance.
